Purpose of the Job
Key Responsibilities
Daily and Weekly reports
Customer facing – Regular client meetings with progress updates, new projects and break-fix works
To manage devices across all EMEA and make sure they are all connected to the network.
Updating security and network vulnerabilities
Configuring new devices
IP configuration inclusive of passwords, IP address, SNMP, web protocol etc.
Amending threshold ranges to agreed SLA’s
Updating licensing
Correcting faults on current devices
Firmware upgrades
Creating new SOPs and keeping current ones up to date
Raising and dealing with SDSK requests
Server reboots
Isolated devices
Connectivity issues (PDUs, ATS, BMS, UPS)
Switch upgrades
Full site re-IP’s
Updating appropriate SDSKs
Pre/post checks of all facility devices
Keeping the EMEA FAC devices - Master sheet up to date
Keeping the QVS Master sheet up to date
Update all relevant spreadsheets with new or replaced devices
First point of contact to CTEC, Networks, Infrastructure and E.ON for all facility device requests, installs and upgrades.
Liaising with E.On to have all information up to date and added to the BMS
Use of network programmes such as Niknac, Putty,Telnet, CMD, Phosphorus
Open to taking on new responsibilities in short periods (it is an expansive role)
Desirable skills
Good knowledge of network equipment inclusive of PDUs, switches, BMS equipment
Basic working knowledge of M&E equipment
Basic functional knowledge of CMD, run a ping, IP config, continuous ping etc
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
Good at working in a team and on your own
Excellent customer service
