WTW Flexible Benefits Project Manager in London, United Kingdom

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing Flexible Benefits Team. The role of Flexible Benefits Project Manager is to project manage, support and ensure successful delivery of client installations and renewals on our proprietary online benefits technology. Project Managers support UK flexible benefits technology implementations and renewals whilst contributing to the development and maintenance of our implementation processes and standards.

The Role:

  • Ensure an efficient, professional service delivery is provided to meet all client/employees' needs and to promote the WTW brand.

  • Support an agreed set of client implementation/renewal projects.

  • Co-ordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful, timely implementation project delivery

  • Project initiation and scope management:

  • Prepare materials to support the project kick-off and planning meetings

  • Review client contracts to understand the scope of work agreed

  • Ensure that project scope is controlled and managed, identifying out of scope items and raising these to the Client Manager.

  • Prepare Project Initiation Documents to confirm the scope of the project

  • Ongoing project management:

  • Run regular internal and client project meetings/calls

  • Manage a RAID log to capture risk, actions, issues and decisions

  • Prepare and maintaining project plans in MS Project on a weekly basis

  • Prepare project status reports and executive summaries to inform all stakeholders of high-level project progress

  • Manage change control and identify risks and formulate mitigating actions

  • Project close and debrief management:

  • Ensure lessons learnt and recommendations are captured and acted upon to improve future service delivery

  • Create post project review materials to capture the project performance

  • Update Line Manager on a regular basis (or as necessary) of current client issues, threats and opportunities

  • Identify and implement areas for improvement in project management practices

  • Prepare test strategies to ensure internal teams and clients know what is expected within the testing phase

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide an excellent project management service to all client projects

  • Foster a collaborative working environment across the project teams. Encourage teamwork by sharing knowledge, ideas and solutions

  • Identify areas where the service to clients and their employees can be improved

  • Ensure deadlines, set targets (KPIs) are met through effective planning and execution

  • Assist in more complex / project deliverables when required

  • Provide an efficient, professional service delivery to meet all clients’ / employees' needs

  • Develop a strong knowledge of clients’ flexible benefits technology delivery

  • Communicate effectively with clients via email and calls

The Requirement

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)

  • Strong project management background and experience

  • Experience in flexible benefits and/or employee benefits is a must

  • Good analytical and numerical reasoning skills

  • Able to chair and coordinate internal and client calls

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and able to articulately adapt style for various purposes and audiences

  • Good planning, time management and organisation skills with the ability to work to deadlines

  • Efficient in MS projects and managing project management program

  • Prince2 Certification or any project manager course will be an added advantage

  • Able to learn quickly, use own initiative and organise own workload effectively

  • Prepared to put in the extra effort when needed to meet challenging deadlines

  • Demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, overcoming any problems as they arise

  • Prepared to show initiative where appropriate, but equally prepared to take instructions from others to contribute to projects across the whole department
