Your day at NTT DATA

The Account Consultant (AC) is part of the Global IP Network (GIN) Business Unit and is responsible to meet and exceed monthly sales quota from the sale of high bandwidth IP transit services together with associated value-added services (including network and security services), to Internet-centric companies, both domestically and internationally, while minimizing customer churn and price erosion through active account management of an assigned customer base.

What you'll be doing

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a list of assigned existing accounts.

  • Track, manage, and report ongoing activity relative to sales plan.

  • Responsible for customer retention of assigned accounts.

  • Identify competitive pricing and technical solutions for customers.

  • Assist with new product rollout and make sales presentations on new product lines to customers.

  • Perform a myriad of sales and related task as required/and or assigned.

  • Flexibility to perform duties outside the standard 9am-5pm UK time zones.

  • Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry conferences.

Education/Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, engineering or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in a related revenue generating role will be considered.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience using Salesforce is preferred.

Work Experience Required

  • Minimum two (2) years of telecommunications sales, high tech sales, or related experience.

  • Proven track record of success in managing a module of accounts in a telecommunications, high tech or related sales field.

  • Ability to work successfully in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment with commitments to deadlines.

  • Self-motivated and possess strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to communicate, both internally and externally, in an effective, professional and courteous manner.
