JOB SUMMARY

The Field Technician ensures the quality and integrity of the yard shifting trucks testing and its systems and new features as they are released. The truck will be run autonomously through our Mobius Software (internal proprietary software), but some manual intervention will be needed. Travel will be required for this position, traveling to customer sites to install, test, and resolve problems with products/equipment and may provide customer training and has strong knowledge of the company's products and services.

 

Travel: up to 75%
  • Work location is generally work in the office in Petersboro, UT, or at the test site in Tremonton. Travel up to 75% nationally primary locations are Texas and California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Experience with customers and end users
  • Understanding of the requirements for the product being tested, including how the user will use the product.
  • Provide testing and operating feedback.
  • Lead in managing the mechanical and electrical installations in automating future trucks.
  • Serve as a customer contact for problem resolution.
  • Work within a highly collaborative environment where developers, testers and the business work together as a team to deliver the best possible software.
  • Exercise good judgment in weighing the forces involved in determining software readiness.
  • Can lift and carry test equipment on a regular basis.
  • Able to climb stairs ladders, and maneuver around vehicles.
  • Be involved in End to End testing with multiple teams before deployment to production.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS

 

  • CDL
  • Semi-Truck driving experience is preferred. Experience reversing semi-trailers to stalls and dock doors.
  • Understanding of traffic patterns in warehouse yards.
  • 1-3 years of Field Technician experience
  • Comfort using Windows, Linux or Unix as the primary work platform.
  • Preferred experience with JIRA or similar bug tracking system.
  • Preferred experience working in an Agile Environment.
  • Preferred experience testing desktop, client/server and web applications.
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
