We are currently seeking Safety Co-op to join the Messer team. This position supports Messer projects and personnel with safety responsibilities.
What You Will Do:
Pre-construction safety meetings
Contractor safety orientations
Weekly site safety inspections
Research on safety topics
Employee safety training
Organize and lead project safety committee
Track and identify trends
Provide coverage for a Safety Coordinator when they are absent
Tracking of safety equipment distributed to the job site
What You Will Bring:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management with a focus on Safety or a degree related to the safety field of work
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
