LC State invites applications for the position of Residence Director

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: \$43,539(11-month position)

Degree Required:Bachelor\'s degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Required Qualifications:

• One year, full-time, professional live-in experience in Residence Life includes experience supervising student staff, advising student groups, and performing crisis intervention.
• Valid driver\'s license and appropriate insurance coverage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master\'s Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Two or more years of similar Residence Life experience including full-time, professional work experience as a related graduate assistantship in a college or university setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the supervision, recruitment, selection, evaluation, discipline, and promotion of the development of Resident Assistant and Program Assistants, and 2 undergraduate Residence Directors.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of the Residence Life fall and spring trainings, and team development throughout the academic year.
• Manage the daily operations of a residential hall/area.
• Administer an educational/social programming budget as determined by the Director of Residence Life.
• Monitor student behavior in accordance with College and Residence Life policy, and serve as the primary student conduct officer for the hall/area for low-level offenses.
• Maintain an active presence and participate in student life programming initiatives on campus, including building an evening and weekend programming culture.
• Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
