Pay: $22.10 - $44.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system .

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example:

• Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential

• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential

• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

The ideal candidate will have anesthesia experience, along with a great attitude and a strong drive to succeed and build their career in Veterinary Medicine. Willing to train qualified candidates on MRI and CT!

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician , you will:

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).

• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia

• Willing to train for set up for MRI and CT procedures.

• Discharge neurology patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc..

• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values

• Perform call backs and refill medications

• Client education, gathering histories and communicating that to the Clinician

• Perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.

• Understand normal vital parameters

• Comfortable with IVC placement and venipuncture

• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.

• Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics
