Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Public Senior Accountant in Lenexa, Kansas, United States. This role will primarily involve assisting the local MRO management team, maintaining and updating standard costs in the system, monitoring labor efficiency metrics, and performing root cause analysis on production variances.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update standard costs in the system

• Monitor labor efficiency metrics and work closely with operations to drive improvements

• Perform root cause analysis and corrective action on production variances

• Ensure the fidelity of warranty recharge processes

• Collect, track, and reconcile MRO manufacturing costs, labor, and other expenses

• Analyze cost variances

• Assist in headcount forecasting and planning

• Assist with capital expenditure and justification

• Perform monthly closeout processes to include general ledger balancing and reporting

• Audit, track, and monitor inventory cycle count program.

The candidate will also be expected to interface with all levels of management and employees, and demonstrate excellent communication, written and verbal skills, along with good presentation skills. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Proven experience in the field of public accounting

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Proficiency in planning, forecasting, and operations

• Extensive knowledge and experience in audit, finance, and general ledger

• Proficiency in reporting, including expense and metric reporting

• Experience in hiring processes and workforce planning

• Ability to support workstation and resolve issues effectively

• Skilled in capital management and variance analysis

• Ability to work onsite and interact effectively with external customers

• Strong analytical skills and ability to take corrective actions

• Knowledge of production processes and cycle count

• Experience in headcount and workforce forecasting

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
