Job Summary:

The Machine Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including Production machines, cranes, forklifts and other material handling equipment, and other building systems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.

  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.

  • Observes all proper lock out, tag out safety protocol at all times.

  • Makes the necessary repair or evaluates and discusses with Supervisor if outside resources are needed for the repair

  • Establishes and performs weekly, monthly, yearly preventive maintenance schedules for production machines and performs routine maintenance on building systems.

  • Operates forklifts and aerial equipment.

  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.

  • Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.

  • Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electric, Motors and Servo, and their repair.

  • Strong knowledge in Robotics and Crane maintenance repair.

  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision. Shows a sense of urgency when production machines are down.

  • Able to operate and be certified to operate forklifts and aerial equipment.

  • Possesses a valid Driver’s license.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.

  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
