Overview
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is seeking a distinguished Pediatric Anesthesiologist to assume a pivotal role within our esteemed Level 1 trauma center in Northern New England. This critical position entails partnering with Dartmouth Health Children’s, our esteemed children's hospital, to deliver exemplary care to our pediatric population. While pediatric cases comprise approximately 10% of the caseload, the incumbent will dedicate the majority of their time to adult anesthesia cases, providing an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional seeking to maintain a diverse skillset.
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center is the state's only academic medical center, and the only Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in New Hampshire. The Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART), based in Lebanon and Manchester, provides ground and air medical transportation to communities throughout northern New England. Our Practice
Case volume around 40,000+ cases per year at both the main campus and outpatient surgery center
Challenging cases with a dynamic case mix including Cardiothoracic Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastic, Vascular, Urologic, and Obstetric and Gynecologic surgery.
Pediatric surgical cases include Neonatal, General, Craniofacial, ENT, Urologic, Plastic, Orthopedic and fast-paced Outpatient Surgery.
30 bed Level III neonatal ICU, multidisciplinary PICU
Pediatric NORA suite for minor procedures, imaging, operative dentistry
Anesthesiologists at DHMC embrace the Anesthesia Care Team model and are involved in the medical direction of CRNAs, resident teaching, and personally provided care.
