Dartmouth Health Academic Anesthesiologist - Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire

Overview

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center’s(DHMC) Department of Anesthesiology is growing and seeking highly qualified BC/BE Anesthesiologists. The ideal candidate will have broad experience and interest in practicing in a high-acuity teaching environment. Specialty training and/or experience in cardiac, ICU, pediatric, neuro, and OB are most desirable. Candidates with an interest in Quality and Safety, NORA, endoscopy, and ambulatory anesthesia will also be considered.This successful candidate will join a large department and is expected to be engaged in our academic mission and in the teaching of students, residents, and fellows. The individual will receive an academic appointment as a member of the faculty of the Geisel School of Medicine at a rank commensurate with experience.

Our Practice

  • DHMC is New Hampshire’s only academic medical center and only Level1 trauma center

  • Case volume averages around 40,000 cases per year at both the main campus and outpatient surgery center

  • Challenging cases with a dynamic case mix. Services include Cardiac, Gynecology, Plastics, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Oncology, Trauma, Maxillofacial, Neurosurgery, Thoracic, Transplant, Vascular and Orthopedics

  • Anesthesiologists at DHMC embrace the Anesthesia Care Team model and are involved in medical direction of CRNAs, resident teaching, and personally provided care.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.

  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Hampshire.

  • Advanced training or experience in trauma anesthesia is highly desirable.
