Position Summary

We are looking for a Group Leader Proteomics , to lead a team of scientists and technicians dedicated to proteins, peptides and amino acids analysis in raw materials, finished products, bio-fluids and other matrices. The team is active in clinical biomarker discovery, product characterization, developing analytical methods for product innovation, quality and safety.

Nestlé Research is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, employs approximately 1000 people and is comprised of five Nestlé Institutes: Food Sciences, Health Sciences, Food Safety & Analytical Sciences, Packaging Sciences, and Agricultural Sciences. A Day in the Life of a Group Leader Proteomics

  • Provide long term strategy for proteomic analysis deployment, and drive innovation based on mass spectrometric assays for quantification of biomolecules

  • Lead the development of new analytical methods, for deployment in Operations and/or method officialization

  • Lead successfully a pluri-disciplinary team, developing individual talents, ensure smooth running of proteomics assays applied to key projects for Nestlé Research, Nestlé Nutrition, Purina, NHSc and other businesses

  • Be committed to compliance and safety of team members and encourage initiatives

  • Lead experts supporting collaborative activities with government, other Nestlé entities of all businesses and standardization offices, for analytical method deployment, advocacy and management

  • Communicate impactfully and effectively the leadership vision and share results internally and externally

What will make you successful

  • Expertise in LC-MS instrumentation, method development and validation

  • Master proteomics analysis for clinical applications

  • Leadership skills, creative and passionate mindset

  • Digital and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

  • Quality System for ISO 17025 certification is a plus

  • Disciplined and well organized

  • Capable of autonomy under pressure to deliver and deal with all levels of hierarchy

  • Result focus, agile mindset and innovative way of working as role model for leaders of tomorrow
