We are offering a contract engagement for a remote contract Business Immigration Paralegal. This role is vital to our client's operations and is focused on providing legal support within the business immigration sector. You will be responsible for managing immigration documentation, case management, e-filing, calendaring and using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word to ensure smooth communication and record-keeping.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to our internal processes while completing visa applications for employees relating to H1-B and other special talent visa categories.

• Work with corporate HR to determine visa eligibility and documentation needs.

• Liaise with external legal counsel to ensure all legal procedures are followed meticulously.

• Respond to internal queries about visa application progress and immigration process.

• Keep internal stakeholders informed of any changes in immigration law that could impact current or future employees.

• Create and manage an organized, accessible database of immigration documentation

• Track and manage visa expiration dates and ensure applications are submitted timely.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Immigration Paralegal, specifically in the space of H1-B and special talent visas.

• Thorough knowledge of immigration law, employment law and HR procedures.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively liaise with employees, legal counsel, and human resources.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and immigration case management software.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Close attention to detail and high organizational skills.

• The ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

This is a remote contract position. The successful candidate must be comfortable working from home and communicating with our team virtually.
