POSITION: Direct Support Professional (Las Animas)

DUTIES: Provide 24-hour supervision and support for individuals primarily in residential, home, community, day habilitation, and work site settings. Train and teach individuals according to the Individual Plan (IP) and the Individual Services and Support Plans (ISSP) to enhance independence and social skills. Administer medications after successfully passing the Medication Administration test and respond appropriately to medical and other emergencies. Assist with daily tasks including cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and incontinence care; perform light maintenance (e.g., light snow removal, vehicle upkeep). Execute safe lifting and transferring techniques (occasional lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds) and drive agency (or personal) vehicles for transportation and agency business. Maintain detailed program documentation (attendance, incident reports, medication counts, supply orders, etc.) to support program accreditati Participate in staff training, meetings, evacuation drills, and assist with planning recreation and community access activities.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years of age. Licensed driver with reliable transportation (out-of-state drivers must secure a valid Colorado Driver's License within ten days of hire). Must pass background, drug and alcohol, reference, and motor vehicle checks; current motor vehicle insurance is required. Ability to perform physical tasks (sitting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, repetitive motions, lifting, etc.) and meet specific vision, dexterity, and hearing requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass the Medication Administration test (with no more than two attempts) and administer medications per physician orders. Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed. Maintain required certifications (e.g., First Aid, CPR, crisis prevention) and adhere strictly to agency policies and confidentiality standard

PREFERRED SKILLS: At least six months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Experience in planning and implementing recreational activities and facilitating community access.

WAGE: $17.00 - $20.50 per hour

SHIFTS: Day shift: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM 4-day work week JOB SITE: Residential setting in Las Animas, CO, USA
