Job Description

Who We Are:TheDepartment of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services including Information Technology project delivery, maintenance and support. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB supporting the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).

About The Position: The IT Programmer Analyst will coordinate system security validation to ensure design, practices, and procedures meet the Michigan Security Accreditation Process and State of Michigan standards. This person will be responsible for completing the system security plan, disaster recovery plan, incident response plan, and assisting the business in writing the business continuity plan. This member will actively participate in the development and implementation of Licensing and Regulatory Affair’s IT strategic plan. This person will also mentor other DTMB staff to enhance product development support and resolve client agency IT issues in a timely manner.

Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

SIGNING BONUS: This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12

Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience

Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12

Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.

Alternate Education and Experience
