Essential Duties/Responsibilities :
Builds and maintains profiles of supply market and key suppliers (including both current and potential suppliers)
Establishes and communicates the vision and strategic direction for assigned categories
Develops and executes appropriate market sector strategies aligning the market to Greene Tweed’s internal demand, and ensuring approval/support from the organization
Utilizes strategic sourcing within area of responsibility
Employs financial analysis and economic modeling skills to evaluate supplier proposal pricing and develop flexible contractual pricing models which accommodate inflation, currency, scope changes, and other areas of risk mitigation and cost control
Provides on-going contract cost management and risk management
Champions and supports the deployment of the appropriate purchase to pay solutions
Develops and implements supplier performance management strategies and measurement criteria for their market sector
Advise in the development and direction of category sourcing plans and cross business teams directly connected with key stakeholders (budget and P&L owners). The needs are derived from close connection and understanding of their business strategies with impacts of spend
Provide leadership to drive continuous improvement in spend management processes and implemented tactics to drive compliance across the company
Continually develop strong relationships with internal business partners across the company and stay connected with their individual business strategies and needs
Develop, execute and manage supplier contracts and agreements
Execute the defined strategic sourcing process and drive utilization of tools and techniques aligned with the process framework and architecture
Manages supplier relationships
Work effectively across business units with different objectives in the creation and implementation of procurement strategies for complex spend categories
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain, marketing, or engineering
Skills and Experience:
7+ years demonstrated progressive Supply Chain experience in Category Management
Demonstrated skills in working effectively across business or functional lines and partnering with the businesses and departments to meet objectives
Demonstrated ability to influence others
Strong negotiations, interpersonal and communications skills
Professional, ethical personal conduct and demeanor
Experience conducting business and negotiating
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex pricing proposals and formulate a strategic plan
Proven ability to work in a matrix, leading or participation on teams across reporting lines, for example segment teams, pricing teams, product launch teams
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Experience as a leader/manager of a team
