Overview

Substation Intern (Spring/Summer 2025) Westwood Professional Services, Inc. Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation Engineering Intern to join our team. This position will be a part of our Power Division. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks Project research, fieldwork, observation, and preliminary design calculations Take personal responsibility for the quality of tasks performed Uses AutoCAD/MicroStation to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts, and estimates Performs routine analysis to check the accuracy of data and work products

Salary Range: $15.00-$25.00+ per hour depending on applicable experience

Required Skills

Electrical Engineering major (Junior, Senior, or Master's student)

Required Experience

Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs Basic knowledge of the firm's policies, practices and procedures Basic knowledge of software required for position Good organizational skills Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations

Preferred Experience

AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting experience a plus.
