Department: DGR Supervisor: Chief Retail Operations Officer

Objective: To strategically diversify and grow new revenue streams to support GKA's long-term growth & sustainability strategies. BASIC FUNCTION Provides overall leadership, strategic direction and oversight to Donation Acquisition activities for the entire organization including expansion, special projects & key initiatives in concert with the Retail Operations Leadership Team. Responsible for developing and managing Reverse Logistics operations and is held accountable to the ROI of these growth initiatives. In partnership with Operational leaders drives improved Sustainability results, data and potentially business development. Responsible for operating effectively across functional boundaries, building and sustaining external and internal relationships.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1.  Donations Acquisition
  •  Oversight of current Attended Donation Centers (ADC) and partnership with Real Estate to explore and open new ADCs
  •  Develop and maintain corporate relationships for donation drives and direct product donations
  •  Manage and build new donation streams with paid and unpaid community donation drives
  1.  Reverse Logistics Identify & validate long-term revenue streams and financial sustainability which includes:
  •  Reverse Logistics (purchased goods, donated goods & as a service)
  •  Other retail/operations adjacent revenue generation opportunities as identified
  1.  Environmental Sustainability
  •  Partners with VP of Operations and Advocacy team to support business development and community relationships around recycling, grading and sustainability.
  •  Leads efforts to advance reporting and sophistication of environmental sustainability data for the Donated Goods Retail program and Goodwill Keystone Area as a whole.
  1.  Marketing & Public Relations
  •  Leads Marketing team to help create and execute comprehensive Marketing and Public Relations strategies for Goodwill Keystone. This includes conducting analysis of relevant metrics and KPIs to identify appropriate strategies. Strategically leads team efforts to develop marketing materials, website updates, internal & external branding and establishing an effective social media presence. Proactively generates ways to advance the organization's brand via, digital media, speaking engagements, community events, conference participation and other forms of networking and advertising. Helps to support relationships with local, regional and national organizations, associations and affiliations (Chamber of Commerce).
  •  Directs third party consultant resources as well as the internal Marketing Director.

  •  Other projects as defined which could include: Purchased Goods, New stores & remodels and Data Analytics (including dynamic pricing) 5  Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  •  Assists and supports all functions including Risk Management to protect company assets. Ensures adherence to all policies, procedur s, and regulatory standards.
  •  Works in concert with the Marketing Department on internal communications, business service expansion, branding, and community relations.
  •  Partners with any research and development opportunities to test and implement modern technologies as a way to improve process flow, safety, customer service, donor service, and other aspects of donated goods retail.
  •  Fosters a customer service focused workplace consistent with the values and mission of the organization.
  •  Performs all duties in a safe manner and ensures team adheres to all safety policies and guidelines.
  •  Communicates progress, issues, and concerns to the Chief Retail Operations Officer in a timely manner. POSITIONS SUPERVISED TBD

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management or related field required. 7 to 10 years of experience in management in the fields of process management, continuous improvement, production or retail sales with multi-unit locations, and/or business development with a minimum of five years in supervisory capacity; or a combination of education and experience that enables individual to meet job expectations, standards and goals. Proficient in use of computers/devices, Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics. Valid US driver's license, insurable and ability to drive within the region and outside of region.
