Aerotek Medical Device Assembler - Small Parts Assembly in Lake Zurich, Illinois

Job Title: 2nd Shift Medical Assembler paying $21/hr

Job Description

As a Medical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling small medical parts, such as catheters, using small hand tools and microscopes. You will work with minimal supervision to complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner, while maintaining confidential information in accordance with company policy. Adherence to safety requirements is crucial in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble catheters using small hand tools and microscopes.

  • Operate equipment such as adhesive dispensers, vertical shrinkers, braiders, tipping machines, drilling, punching, and measuring devices.

  • Maintain written records of materials used, procedures followed, and inspection features on supplied data forms.

  • Advise others of the need for repairs and upgrading of manufacturing equipment.

  • Maintain good working relationships with co-workers.

  • Ensure incoming materials meet purchase order specifications.

  • Support the engineer project leader with modifications in written procedures and suggested improvements.

  • Perform testing of devices or components in accordance with written protocols and test procedures.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of assembly experience in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with small piece assembly.

  • Detail-oriented.

  • Comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Medical or pharmaceutical experience is highly preferred.

  • Prior experience working with microscopes.

  • Technical skills in plastic part assembly, adhesive bonding, materials knowledge, and prototyping.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and procedures.

  • Understanding of measurement units and ability to take and comprehend measurements.

  • Dexterity with hands and ability to work with small parts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
