Salary Range: Up to $16 per hour (based on experience)

Type of Position: Full-time/Temp to hire

Schedule: 1 st shift Monday -Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Attendant to join Metals manufacturing team. This position involves executing shipping duties under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and loading products with accuracy to ensure quality for all customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Shipping Attendant, you will:

• Pull customer orders, pack, and label per customer requirements. Utilize scales, forklifts, and all necessary equipment.

• Notify the Warehouse Shipping Coordinator when customer orders are picked, packed, and ready to ship.

• Fill out pick tickets accurately for shipment processing.

• Load freight carriers for all outgoing products and ensure final inspection of shipments.

• Possess knowledge of efficient trailer loading procedures and material handling techniques.

• Follow up and assist operators regarding tagging (Identification and Traceability).

• Communicate any potential shipment shortages to your supervisor in advance.

• Place HOLD tags on any suspect product (Nonconforming Material Reporting - NCMR).

• Maintain system, verify rack locations, and manage backlog as required.

• Perform cycle counts using the designated cycle count process.

• Stop activity if safety is compromised and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.

• Perform general cleanup and maintenance of your work area.

• Take responsibility for customer satisfaction through the quality of your own work, aiming for zero defects in products and services.

• Perform other duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED.

• Experience: 1 year of shipping/receiving/warehousing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP systems, and basic PC skills.

• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Forklift License

• Crane Operator License
