The GE Appliances Material Flow Analyst will develop & drive the vision of the Plant Materials Team to become a World Class Lean Operation. Guides Implementation of Lean including PFEP Methodologies (Plan for Every Part), SPF (Single Piece Flow), and other Lean Principles. Preferred candidates are coaches, mentor leaders, have short cycle, high volume manufacturing experience along with a history of successful problem resolution.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Lead plant material flow & supplier management plans in support of the Appliance Production System (APS).
Own/develop delivery plans, transportation plans, packaging plans, shop floor flow, and supermarket implementation for all parts.
Lead effort to meet or exceed key metrics including the Op Plan Goals for Schedule Achievement, Product Availability, Headcount & Overtime, Mix & Cycle Time, RIP Inventory, and Transportation.
Lead the deployment of standardized work within the materials department. Drive process stability through the execution of standardized work.
Interface with Shop Operations, Quality, Site Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), Sourcing, Manufacturing Engineer and NPI implementation teams.
Manage respective transportation and logistics costs to reduce inventory and drive year-over-year productivity.
Develop and improve the IT tools and systems used in Materials to take cost out and simplify processes as required.
Develop and lead, as needed, Senior Management Updates for Key Projects and Initiatives.
Champion kaizen events within the department.
Drive a problem-solving culture within the team. Empower all team members to identify and address problems.
Enforce compliance with safety rules and procedures, assist with completing timely accident investigations and corrective actions.
Ensure all job changes comply with GEA EHS requirements.
In conjunction with the Managers, Manufacturing Operations, manage the department's safety problem and action item list, including corrective actions from near misses, accident reports & ergo assessments.
Support site environmental compliance as applicable (e.g. waste disposal & recycling) while improving environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
3 or more years of experience in Materials/Manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience working with individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve operational results and positive employee relations.
High level of initiative, energy and motivation to develop & grow in a team environment.
Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
Strong technical competency & experience.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving & follow-through ability.
Ability to facilitate team projects.
Position supports 24/7 manufacturing facilities. Occasional off shift, on call and weekend work may be required.
