This position is Award Dependent. We have an exciting opportunity within the Blue Canyon Technologies Finance team for a Principal Financial Analyst to lead a new opportunity within the Spacecraft Product Line, contingent upon award. The awarded program would be Fixed Price Production and responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to, weekly financial reporting/analysis, Estimates at Completions (EACs), monthly financial forecasts, and regular status reviews with Program stakeholders. A key requirement for this position is the ability to provide strategic financial guidance for the program including areas such as affordability, cost management, and risk mitigation. An effective analyst will be the primary financial business partner supporting the program functional team (engineering, supply chain, quality, operations) and the Program Offices in cost analysis trends. They must leverage proactive analysis/engagement to meet bold deadlines as well as multitask across a variety of deliverables and work with all levels of the organization. In addition to serving as the lead Financial Analyst on the program, the job may require additional responsibilities such as supporting other programs in a lesser capacity, proposal development, systems support and other ad hoc requests.

What You Will Do

  • Gather and analyze operational, financial, and program performance metrics for Material, Subcontracts, and Labor for Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering Support to Production, and Integrated Product Teams.

  • Be an integral program team member working closely with Program Manager and other cross-functional peers, to ensure accurate measurement, control, and understanding of reported costs and schedules.

  • Prepare data for, analyze, and help facilitate the quarterly EAC review process with the PMO.

  • AOP forecasting, proposals and ROM pricing exercises.

  • Prepare organizational level assessments of product performance to review strategic direction and cost profile.

    Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

  • Overseeing/Guidance experience on a high visibility program.

  • Experience with government contracting and FAR requirements.

  • Experience with Estimates at Completion (EAC's) or similar systems and tools

  • Experience with Program costs, schedules and/or proposals

  • Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse, PMX, EDIT+ or similar systems

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
