Job Summary :

Develop, designs, implements and delivers training interventions for Roper St. Francis Healthcare employees. Assesses organizational needs and plans appropriate educational and developmental strategies. Collaborates with internal and external resources to offer creative, current and technologically savvy programs and materials. Participates in system wide projects as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education: Graduate of an accredited university with a Masters Degree in Nursing or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in healthcare setting. Healthcare Professional Development/ Clinical Teaching experience strongly preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or holds a current compact/multi-state license as a Registered Nurse in a recognized NCSBN Compact State and is not a permanent resident of SC. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. Nursing specialty certification required within 6 months of position start (applicable certifications include approved ANCC clinical specialty or nursing leadership certifications).

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of adult learning theory. Ability to teach and evaluate the needs of others. Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, as well as professional standards of practice. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written. Ability to organize and problem solve to meet stated objectives.

Work Demands/Environment :

Frequent sitting, walking, standing, stooping, bending, crouching. May require lifting or moving items up to 25 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. No exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, and/or irregular hours. Ability to read and comprehend. Travel may be required.
