Opportunity
Seeking a dynamic Sr Compliance Engineer to join our Codes & Standards team, focusing on global product certification for Kohler's Kitchen and Bath business. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative individual contributor with a strong capacity for critical thinking, technical insight, capable of navigating an evolving global regulatory landscape. This role is suited for professionals with experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, engineering, or related fields who are eager to make a tangible impact on our innovative programs and processes.
Specific Responsibilities
Understand project and business goals, identify potential impacts on design or marketability, and translate insights into clear, actionable testing and certification plans.
Manage product certification throughout development and maintenance by coordinating with third-party agencies, handling registrations and renewals, collecting required data, and ensuring accurate labeling for seamless market access.
Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to understand their needs and ensure compliance with current and emerging requirements.
Use critical thinking to interpret regulatory requirements, integrate them into product designs, and know when to seek external consultation or escalate business risks.
Master existing processes, policies, and systems while proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to better support our stakeholders.
Develop and deliver educational resources and training sessions to empower teams and enhance self-sufficiency in compliance matters.
Engage in ongoing learning and stay updated on global standards and regulatory changes that may impact product design and certification.
Prepare to take on additional responsibilities in strategic compliance initiatives, standards development, regulatory monitoring, and management system enhancement.
Monitor emerging regulatory trends and prepare periodic reports to keep stakeholders informed.
Skills/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering; advanced degree is a plus.
At least 2 years of experience in product compliance, new product development, engineering, or related roles with a focus on regulatory requirements.
Proactive learner with the initiative to understand complex products and their regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across various functions within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to engage in critical thinking, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100.. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
