Actalent Designer in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Seeking a Designer/Drafter to join the team!

Responsibilities:

· Utilize the software tool, MicroStation, to create accurate and detailed designs for gas and electric systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

· Collaborate with builders to understand project requirements and effectively communicate design specifications and progress updates.

· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.

· Create site plans, determine meter locations, and evaluate routes that align with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and We Energies guidelines.

· Provide a list of quantities and develop cost estimate for the gas and/or electric installation.

· Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality deliverables are produced.

· Evaluate electric and gas loads to determine proper service and meter size.

Requirements:

· A minimum of a high school diploma is required.

· Secondary education in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical is preferred.

· Driver license and reliable vehicle required.

· Willing to complete site visits and travel to office in inclement weather.

· Experience in gas and/or electric design services, residential, commercial, or industrial properties is a plus.

· Proficient using design software, specifically MicroStation, with a strong understanding of design principles and best practices is a plus.

Training:

The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive training program, which will span approximately three months. This training will cover the specific design processes, tools, and workflows utilized within the We Energies system, as well as the software applications and communication protocols.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
