Job Title: Machine Builder

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for different projects. This person will be building machines off of blueprints that are given to them. They also will have to do some basic wiring through the machine (up to 480v). This role involves working on different projects every few months, so it requires someone who is comfortable with constantly being on the move.

Responsibilities

• Build machines based on provided blueprints.

• Perform basic wiring through the machine (up to 480v).

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Work on various projects every few months.

• Perform mechanical assembly, welding, and fabrication tasks.

• Handle machine building, assembly, and hydraulic systems.

• Participate in an interview to demonstrate blueprint interpretation and machine building.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of machine building experience.

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

• Experience with VFD (Variable Frequency Drive).

• 2+ years of electrical wiring experience (up to 480v).

• Ability to drill and tap panels.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• MIG welding experience.

• Good job tenure.

• Good communication skills.

Work Environment

The company has been in operation since 1881 and today's plant is a 150,000 sq. ft. facility equipped with modern production equipment, offices, and laboratory. The environment is climate-controlled with hot, cold, and spray urethane capabilities. The company manufactures all of its components and casts urethane for its own and other makes of vibratory bowls and centrifugal disks. The work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM on the first shift, with additional overtime opportunities available.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
