As a Primary Support Professional, you'll work closely with clients receiving Independent Living Skills Development services, Day Services, Community Networking, and Personal Assistant Services. Your responsibilities will include providing support and training in various life skills, accompanying clients to appointments and activities, and documenting their progress. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to each client's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalized support and training to clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities
Implement and document progress on Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
Accompany clients to medical appointments, recreational activities, and community events
Train clients in essential life skills such as personal hygiene, money management, and household tasks
Administer medications following proper guidelines and certifications
Complete accurate and timely documentation in the Therap system
Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and other team members to ensure quality care
Maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and medication administration as required
Attend meetings and specialized training to enhance skills and knowledge
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
One year of experience in the field of intellectual/developmental disabilities OR successful completion of Missouri Quality Outcomes training approved by the Division of DD regional office
Additional Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation with working air conditioning and heating
Successful completion of background checks (criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and perform basic mathematical calculations
Physical ability to perform CPR, First Aid, and assist with client transfers when necessary
Must attain and maintain required certifications, including CPR and First Aid
