The Logistics Coordinator coordinates the shipping and receiving of goods in accordance with logistical schedules and the expectations of customers.
Maintain departmental metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Work with customer service to file and recover freight claims
Calculate and confirm monthly freight accrual for outstanding liability
Meet with carriers to discuss performance and improvement strategies
Work with USCBP and international brokers to coordinate the movement and customs clearance of inbound and outbound shipments
Audit and verify freight invoices with 3rdparty bill pay company
Ensure HVAC shipping is selecting and using the lowest cost and highest quality carriers
Update and maintain carrier routing guide by state and mode of shipment
Establish window times for carrier pickup and delivery
Regular meetings with Parker Group Logistics regarding freight spend and carrier selection
Other duties as assigned
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a logistics or distribution role
Minimum college degree in Supply Chain or related field
Experience working with USCBP and international brokers
Possess strong computer skills and be able to analyze large amounts of data
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface
