Forklift Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a forklift or other common warehouse equipment to transport materials within the warehouse. Additionally, they will handle loading and unloading shipments, complete necessary paperwork, and use technology such as PCs and scanners to keep track of inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.

• Load and unload shipments at various shipment points.

• Use PCs and scanners to track inventory and manage shipment data.

• Complete necessary administrative tasks, including shipment-related paperwork.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Valid specialized license for operating forklifts.

• Ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment.

• Proficiency in using basic technology such as PCs and scanners.

• Experience with loading and unloading at shipment points.

• Competence in handling administrative tasks like completing shipment-related paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a similar role.

• Familiarity with warehouse management software.

Skills and Education:

• Forklift: A vehicle with pronged devices in front for lifting heavy loads.

• Warehouse Equipment: Tools used in warehouses like pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.

• Transport Materials: Moving items from one place to another within the warehouse.

• Specialized License: Certification required to operate specific machinery like forklifts.

• Technology (PCs, scanners): Basic computer skills needed for inventory tracking.

• Loading/Unloading: The process of moving goods on or off vehicles.

• Paperwork: Administrative forms associated with shipping logistics.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
