Job Description
The Database Release Management team is responsible for managing the release of Database Products across various channels. Looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager with prior enterprise experience to handle the high-quality requirements for the Database releases. As part of the Database organization in Oracle, you will be continually challenged and have an opportunity to contribute to the success of the wide gamut of database offerings, working closely with development partners. This is a challenging role with lots of responsibilities and visibility across the organization.
Job Description
Handle the development and implementation of a product involving departmental or cross-functional teams passionate about the delivery of new or existing products.
Lead multiple technology projects and product features.
Work across multiple virtual teams with differing timelines and objectives.
Define achievements, and success criteria, run dependencies, and deliver iteratively.
Monitor the project from initiation through delivery.
Develop and own communication plans to communicate program status, issues, and risks effectively and proactively to team members.
Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints.
Manage collaborator expectations across the organization.
Assign and monitor the work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in an area of specialization.
Making pitches to large internal executives and leadership team members.
Ability to work independently, defining and handling one’s work while still providing clarity and accountability to management and other interested parties.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end roadmap planning, risk management, and quality as well as stability of database service that is the backbone of numerous deliverables.
Roadmap / Planning:
Confirmed skills in successfully delivering software from planning to delivery
Work with internal team members to bring structure and technical direction while implementing complex, project-based processes
Executive progress updates and cross-line-of-business presentations
Risk Management:
Closely supervise progress; Lead issues and risks within the scope of the project
Proactively manage changes in scope, identify and mitigate potential risks
Call out as appropriate
Quality and Stability:
Carry out and improve development processes throughout the project
Earmark problem areas and apply learnings through the development groups
Continually add incremental and long-term quality and stability goals
Qualifications:
BS or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
Proven experience delivering technical products and projects in a highly technical environment.
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Technical program management experience over multiple release cycles for enterprise products or services.
Comfortable making pitches to large internal groups and leadership team members.
Ability to turn broad statements of direction into actionable, achievable outcomes.
Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of partners to prioritize work, remove barriers, and keep interpersonal focus.
Maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence, and analytical skills.
Ability to succeed through teamwork and working through internal and external organizations and individuals.
Ability to work independently, defining and leading one’s own work while still providing clarity and accountability to management and other interested parties
Ability to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
Strong analytical, planning, and social skills with an ability to handle challenging demands.
Being hands-on and willing to delve deeper into engineering problems if needed.
