Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a basic knowledge of general hand and power tools, including measuring tools and devices. You will be responsible for performing repairs on equipment, using shop equipment such as horizontal and vertical saws, drill presses, and grinders. Additionally, you will maintain the work area in accordance with good housekeeping practices, assist in the removal and installation of machinery, and support preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Use electrical troubleshooting to find faults

• Use shop equipment, including horizontal and vertical saws, drill presses, and grinders.

• Repair plant support equipment such as fans, pneumatic hammers, staplers, label applicators, and stretch wrappers.

• Maintain work area cleanliness and organization.

• Assist in the removal and installation of machinery.

• Support preventative maintenance tasks, including identifying machinery components, diagnosing mechanical failures, and repairing/replacing machine guarding.

• Recognize if wires need replacement due to age or improper gauge.

• Identify and find shorts in motors that are down.

• Experience with motors and PLC troubleshooting

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate controlled, brand new facility that is well-ventilated and clean. It can be loud due to machinery. Employees work between 40-45 hours per week, unless there are equipment issues.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.50 - $35.50/hr.
