Description

We are searching for a skilled Controller to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will have the responsibility of leading a team of four, including an Assistant Controller, Payroll/HR Specialist, AP Clerk, and a part-time Admin. You will work directly under the President and play a critical role in our financial management, which includes all accounting functions, auditing, and budget processes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of four, ensuring efficient operation in their respective roles

• Demonstrate strong general accounting skills, including a solid understanding of debits/credits

• Identify and correct discrepancies, perform reconciliations, and other related tasks

• Directly report to the President, providing accurate and timely financial information

• Leverage your background in construction or manufacturing to contribute to our financial decision-making processes

• Utilize various accounting software systems and ERP solutions to streamline accounting functions

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded

• Oversee the budget process, from development to implementation to review

• Monitor a revenue stream for the company, taking proactive measures to ensure financial stability and growth.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years experience in a Controller role or similar

• Proficient in Foundations accounting system

• Ability to oversee all accounting functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with budget processes and financial forecasting

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
