KBR Associate Specialist, HSE in Jacksonville, Florida

Title:

Associate Specialist, HSE

Implements health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines for the HSE department under OSHA 1910 and 1915 standards. Performs HSE audits of heavy maintenance and logistics functions. Creates incident reports and performs root cause analyses. Reviews and drafts job hazard analyses. Responsible for ensuring that employees follow safe work practices in accordance with the KBR ZERO HARM policy. Provides HSE training to personnel.

Keeps informed of regulatory requirements and auditing standards. Interacts with services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to research and interpret standards, codes and regulations. Assists in development and implementation of systems and standards to facilitate the capturing and analysis of HSE statistics. Under direct supervision, performs routine assignments. Develops core job competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems. Manages the PPE inventory for the base and the quarterly CMR inventory for the department.

Requires a minimum of an associate’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience and OSHA 30 hour course. Requires excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint skills.

Competent person designation in fall protection and experience performing training on powered industrial trucks, a plus.

*As a condition of employment, you are subject to temporary duties assigned by KBR to support emergency, disaster relief, or other contingency type missions within the United States. These missions will be temporary, and you will return to the permanent duty position at the National Training Center.
