Overview

The Learning and Development (L&D) Business Partner is a role that serves as a trusted advisor and consultant to business leaders. As an L&D Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with different departments and stakeholders to align learning and training initiatives with the organization's business objectives. Your primary focus will be to identify training needs, design effective learning solutions, and drive the implementation of L&D programs that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.

The Learning and Development Partner plays a pivotal role in driving employee development and performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the organization's success by nurturing a skilled and engaged workforce. As a collaborative partner, you will support business leaders in achieving their objectives through effective talent development strategies and learning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Business Needs Assessment: Work closely with department leaders and HR teams to conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across the organization.

  • Learning Strategy Development: Design and develop comprehensive learning strategies that align with the company's overall business goals and supports talent development and organizational growth.

  • Training Program Design: Utilize instructional design principles to create engaging and effective training materials, including e-learning courses, instructor-led training sessions, workshops, and job aids.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and HR colleagues to gain insights into departmental needs and ensure alignment with L&D initiatives.

  • Training Delivery and Facilitation: Facilitate training sessions and workshops, either directly or through coordination with internal or external trainers, to ensure high-quality and impactful learning experiences.

  • Performance Management Support: Collaborate with HR teams to integrate L&D initiatives into the performance management process, ensuring that employee development aligns with individual performance goals.

  • Learning Evaluation and Improvement: Measure the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics. Continuously improve and update training materials based on learner feedback and business outcomes.

  • Learning Culture Promotion: Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization, encouraging employees to take ownership of their learning journey.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Training and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in learning and development/human resources field. Preferred experience in banking, financial or insurance field.

  • Proven experience as an L&D Partner, L&D Specialist, or in a similar L&D advisory role.

  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training methodologies.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills to effectively deliver training sessions and interact with stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and other learning technology platforms.

  • Excellent project management skills to coordinate multiple training initiatives effectively.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure training effectiveness and impact.

  • Collaborative and consultative approach to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to align L&D initiatives with business objectives.

  • Continuous learner with a passion for staying updated with L&D trends and best practices.
