Citigroup Model/Analysis/Validation Officer in Irving, Texas

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Model/Analysis/Validation Officer for its Irving, Texas location.

Duties: Work with large datasets and complex algorithms to solve data science challenges. Partner with Risk and Decision Management organizations to understand the source of new data and continue to improve the process of defining, extracting, and utilizing new data. Use statistical techniques to develop custom scorecards, customer segmentation schemes, profiles, and other analytically based tools in day-to-day operations for Small Business and consumer Retail Bank portfolios using both consumer and commercial bureau data. Understand Model Risk Management policies and other compliance policies applied to Small Business and Consumer Retail Banking portfolios. Experience and knowledge in Deposit data, US Consumer and Commercial bureau data. Apply modeling techniques to drive profitability through innovation and integrate models into business decisions and strategies. Communicate results to non-technical and technical audiences. Coordinate the implementation of financial models in live operating environments and ensure approvals. Train business and operating personnel in model policies, data management, financial tracking practices, and model usage and problem detection. Assist internal businesses in the ongoing model management and validation of models. Ensure timely model performance tracking and compliance of development and validation of models with respect to internal and external policies. Present model validation findings to senior management and supervisory authorities. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires at least a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research, Economics, Econometrics or related field of study and 2 years of experience as a Model/Analysis/Validation Senior Analyst, Financial Developer or related occupation in risk management, credit policy and consumer/commercial modeling in the consumer finance industry. 2 years of experience must include: SAS programming language in SAS Studio and SAS Enterprise Guide. Jupyter-Notebook and Python programming language (Python packages Sklearn, Pandas, Numpy). SQL programming language in SAS Studio and SAS Enterprise Guide. Data Base Management skill using Unix and Teradata. Model development and validation testing of risk models, Econometric modeling, linear regression, logistic regression and decision tree modeling. Machine learning methods, Gradient Boosting, Random Forest, Extreme Gradient Boosting, Neural Network.
