Cordis Sr. Manager, Program Management -R&D (Selution) in Irvine, California

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Program Management – R&D to lead the design transfer and assist the Operations Group to commercialize new product designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in R&D Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Program Management, with a focus on bringing new products from development to launch. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures and work plans and delegates assignments to experienced level and professional teammates. Develops, modifies and executes company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect. Accountable for developing and adhering to R&D transfer budgets.

• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Problems are not clearly defined and may lack strategic direction.

• Drives the strategic direction and success of the transfer projects for more than one geography.

• Lead the transfer of new product designs from development to manufacturing, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for new product commercialization as part of a new product development core team.

• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with new product introductions.

• Monitor and report on project progress, performance metrics, and key milestones to senior leadership.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve time-to-market.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• 10+ years of experience in program management, with a focus on new product design transfer and commercialization.

• Medical device product development and operations experience with catheters and/or combination devices.

• Strong leadership and project management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in combination medical devices

Pay / Compensation

The expected pre-tax pay rate for this position is $139,700 - $200,200

Actual pay may fluctuate outside of the listed range depending on skills, education, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
