Essel Geotechnical Project Engineer in Irvine, California
We are on the lookout for an Engineer with at least 3 years of pertinent experience in Geotechnical Engineering to become part of our team. We are considering both Staff and Project level candidates. The ideal candidates should possess a BS in Civil Engineering, with an MS in Geotechnical Engineering being a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting geotechnical field investigations, including field drilling, site reconnaissance, marking exploration locations, obtaining necessary permits, and coordinating with vendors.
Reviewing boring logs and preparing data in gINT.
Performing engineering analyses based on available data.
Preparing technical memoranda and reports under the guidance of the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Proficient in communication with clients and team members.
Attention to detail.
Self-starter and initiator.
Able to work independently and in a team setting.
Flexibility in traveling to project sites and other offices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
A valid California driver’s license.
Experience with field drilling.
General geotechnical engineering analysis experience, such as foundation design, liquefaction analysis, slope stability, settlement evaluation, retaining wall design, or pavement design, is a plus.
