Position Summary
Position responsible for overseeing projects in the planning and compliance section and providing technical engineering assistance related to data management activities for transportation, environmental, traffic and stormwater projects throughout Marion County.
Position Responsibilities
Provides oversight to planning & compliance management of local, federal, multi-modal, transportation, structural, and stormwater projects.
Provides technical assistance in design specification and plan interpretation, scheduling, and planning related to infrastructure projects.
Provides support in the development of the Department's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

Qualifications
Technical degree/certification or ten plus (10+) years of related work experience required. Experience working in GIS preferred but not required. The position requires extensive knowledge of City, State, and FHWA policies and specifications as they relate to construction of City infrastructure. The position requires excellent oral and written skills in addition to excellent conflict resolution skills.
Independent Judgment
This position requires a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. Critical and often-times swift decisions will have to be made without the guidance or benefit of direct supervision; decisions can impact the City of Indianapolis, City officials and policies.
