First Commonwealth Bank Transaction Specialist - Returns & Payment Processing in Indiana, Pennsylvania
Reviews the Exception Item Processing in SilverLake software to make specific decisions on the proper handling of all On Us exceptions; this includes but is not limited to multiple signature account verification and large dollar verification. Knowledge of the regulatory process of paying and returning checks is necessary when using the EIP system. Knowledge of the check system should include understanding of Regulation CC. The candidate will assist in the development, implementation, maintenance and enforcement of internal departmental procedures. The candidate should demonstrate problem solving abilities, have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and moderate computer skills.
Essential Job Responsibilities__
- Review and process return items by:
a. Review returned/NSF checks.
b. Determining disposition of checks.
c. Completing appropriate entries and process through work. Non-on-Us Returns process using RICS software.
d. Obtain supervisory approval where applicable.
e. Maintain required records.
Remains alert for customers who may be involved in check kitting and reports questionable situations to the supervisor.
Notify the department supervisor of items requiring special attention.
Process notification of large return, if required.
May perform various duties including, but not limited to the following:
a. Review exceptions checks.
b. Reviews stops and holds.
c. Operates various equipment for day-to-day DDA processing: PC, and calculator.
- Other duties that may be assigned depending in volume of work and location:
a. Data Entry of application data.
b. Prepare and process coupons as instructed.
c. Provide proper backup for additional duties.
d. Gather statistical data.
Complies with regulations and laws relating to the function of the position.
