Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Food and Nutrition Svc Associate you will prepare food as per HACCP, Idaho Food Code and FNS ICARE standards for safe, accurate, high quality food with minimal waste and within designated service time frames. Set up tray line station; assist with meal tray assembly. Stock up and clean up tray line station and dish room area. Deliver meal carts to nursing units. Retrieve meal carts and late meal trays. Set up, clean up and take down dish machine and dish room. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans; store clean dishes in designated locations. Wash and sanitize meal carts. Remove trash from the department.
Perform a variety of clerical duties relating to department record keeping and financial information and assist with food preparation as needed.
Prepare and deliver floor stock items to various departments as assigned.
Assist in set up of tray line station and assist with meal tray assembly, including physician meals.
Assemble late patient meals and nourishments and deliver to patient rooms.
Provide patient menu assistance.
Deliver food carts to patient care units and return carts to kitchen at designated times.
Help with cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, disposing of trash, mopping floors, and other special cleaning duties as assigned.
Receive shipments and properly store food and supplies.
Ensure client, customer service/satisfaction by providing efficient, friendly customer service.
Qualifications:
Food Handlers Permit required.
Food service, hospital diet office, and cash register experience preferred.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Basic computer skills.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
