The team works in the space of developing platform for Sovereign clouds that does boundary management. It's a holistic term for all activities relating to the sovereign cloud boundaries, including the enablement and control of the passage of data across those boundaries. Thus, this includes governance, enablement and the underlying technical and systemic capabilities such as Cloud Transfer Service (CTS).

CTS is a solution that provides a highly configurable security boundary between hyperscale Azure clouds, ensuring performance, scale, and resilience. It’s not just a firewall but a collection of capabilities that control information and data flows across the boundary, including inspection, verification, and controlled passage. This service is particularly relevant for organizations that require a high level of assurance over the transfer of information between two systems, domains, or networks, such as in the case of Azure, a Fully Instanced Sovereign Region and Microsoft networks and systems.

Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will:

• Lead a team of engineers to build and ship large scale projects

• Architect, design and develop secure, scalable, and resilient solutions

• Have the ability to think end-to-end from the UX to backend to provide the most optimal solutions

• Work closely with the design and PM teams, able to collaborate across disciplines

• Mentor other developers on the team. Participate and drive code and design reviews

• Help the team in making decisions on adopting the appropriate technical stack

Qualifications

Required :

• BS/MS in Computers, Electronics or related field

• 8+ years of experience in Software Development

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring cloud services/RESTful service/Distributed system 

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms is preferred 

• A strong Computer Science background with solid C#, Java, C/C++ programming, debugging skills is highly desired

• Experience with Docker, K8s, NodeJS, Typescript and .NET Core is preferred, and Linux is a plus

• Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for architecting for performance, scalability, security, and reliability

• Deep understanding of efficient data structures, algorithms and distributed systems

• Deep understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and writing secure code 

• An entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do attitude – a self-starter, project finisher and adaptive, collaborative

• Able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies

Preferred :

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with architects, engineers and applied research teams alike.

• Demonstrated leadership competencies such as creating clarity and delivering success

• Experience in developing large scale data governance solutions especially data quality

• Basic knowledge in AI while not required, is a bonus
