Your day at NTT DATA

The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2) is a developing engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational through proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems and restoring service to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA) and focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity.

The Networking Managed Services Engineer (L2) may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

Job Title: L2 Network Engineer

Location: Hyderabad

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled L2 Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cisco, Routing, Switching, AAA servers, Cisco Next Gen Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Citrix Load Balancers, and Cisco ACI with SDN. This role involves supporting and maintaining network infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network security and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite.

  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.

  • Monitor and manage Routing & Switching.

  • Monitor and manage Cisco AAA servers.

  • Monitor and manage Cisco Next Gen Firewalls and Palo Alto Firewalls.

  • Support Citrix Load Balancers.

  • Assist in the deployment and management of Cisco ACI & SDN solutions.

  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless network operations.

  • Strong written/verbal communications skillset

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Configure, administer, document firewall infrastructure and change management.

  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of firewalls and firewall policies.

  • Experience working on Firewall Rule base analyzers and optimization approaches.

  • In depth understanding of Network ports, NAT, PAT and Access Lists.

  • Document network configurations and changes.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Cisco AAA servers.

  • Proficiency in managing Cisco Next Gen Firewalls and Palo Alto Firewalls.

  • Knowledge of Citrix Load Balancers.

  • Familiarity with Cisco ACI & SDN.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
