Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Coordinator, Early Learning role is to strategically oversee and enhance early learning programming, including curriculum, teaching practices, and staffing support. This position leads the district-wide strategy for early literacy and numeracy instruction in grades PK-2, emphasizing evidence-based practices, instructional coaching, and professional development, while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining high-quality early learning programs, such as the Little Hippos early learning program.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Masters degree in Educational Administration or Curriculum and Instruction

Valid Texas administrative certification (preferred)

Successful completion of Texas Reading Academies of SOTR Certification

Passed Cohort Leader Screener Window provided by TEA (preferred)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness

Ability to manage budget and personnel

Ability to coordinate district functions

Ability to implement policy and procedures

Ability to interpret data

Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Bilingual (preferred)

Experience:

Three years successful experience as a classroom teacher

Three years successful experience as a campus administrator or instructional coach (preferred)

Three years Central Office Administration (preferred)
