Job Description

Job Summary:

Plans, creates and maintains integrated master schedules. Serves as a liaison between program management, and business office, as well as manufacturing, to manage program schedules. Performs the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of one or more basic programs or projects in accordance with contract requirements. At this level, tasks and assignments tend to be routine, general but may involve complex and/or non-routine assignments and duties are performed under limited supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (other duties may be assigned):

  • Utilizing Primavera P6, maintains program/project baseline and interim schedules to include activity, cost and resource planning and control.

  • Monitors and reports on degree of conformance to plans and schedules using techniques such as critical path and baseline variance analysis.

  • Uses health check tools to perform schedule assessments and mitigate issues

  • Prepare written communications for Program Managers, other team members, customers, etc.

  • Maintains and updates the budget and cost data in the schedule and reports variances to supervisor.

  • Interfaces with Program Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing, obtains planning requirements and secures/verifies requisite information.

  • Acts as liaison between project management, design, engineering and fabrication.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (AA / AS / AAS) from two-year college or university in a related field and minimum of 5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with P6 program scheduling in the DOE industry sector

  • Experience with administration of Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM

  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management concepts and reporting

  • Experience with Schedule Risk Analysis and related tools

  • PMP® or PMP-SP® certification

  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems such as Epicor

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret various business documents, contracts, statements of work, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and response to questions before or employees of organization. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as profitability, application of overhead rates, return on sales, discounts, probabilities, percentages, etc.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a general knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP Software.

Other Essential Duties

  • Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen

  • Knowledge of specific software (Excel, ERP…)

Other Qualifications

  • US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.

  • Ability to travel (domestically/internationally) approximately _+/-5%.
