Knowledge Management Lead-HWIL Hardware and Integration

Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Engineering Directorate Modeling and Simulation (MandS) office.

Responsibilities

Lead a development team responsible for SharePoint, Jira, and webform development.

Oversee application development and maintenance using Groovy Script, Java, HTML, and other technologies.

Utilize Atlassian tools (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence) to manage Agile workflows, documentation, and reporting.

Perform database administration (DBA) tasks, including SQL Server management and scripting.

Drive Agile sprint planning, execution, and reporting within a SAFe framework.

Implement systems engineering processes, including requirements elicitation, documentation, and test case development.

Create user support materials, how-to guides, and training workshops for system adoption and efficiency.

Administer Jira environments, ensuring best practices and system optimization.

Deliver briefings to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, covering both technical and non-technical topics.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements and Desired Skillsets

Bachelor of Science Degree in: Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics, or relevant scientific Information Systems field, from an accredited institution.

Jira Administrator Certification required.

Expertise in SharePoint and webform development. Database administration (DBA) experience, including SQL Server scripting and optimization

Strong Groovy, Java Script, and HTML development skills. Proven experience with Agile methodologies, and sprint execution.

Experience implementing tools in an agile framework required.

Familiarity with systems engineering processes, including requirements gathering, documentation, and testing

Ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-

technical stakeholders

• Strong customer support skills and ability to translate technical solutions into practical business applications

``` - Candidate must be a self-starter and can work independently and as part of a cohesive team.

Must be flexible and able to work in both office and lab environments with ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and perform general office functions.

U.S. Citizenship with Active Secret Security clearance and ability to maintain required clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ certification (preferred but not required).
• Additional certifications in Agile, SAFe, or Atlassian tools
• Prior experience leading a small development team in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced experience with Atlassian tool administration and integrations

Physical Description

Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, and laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a specialized laborator /testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work.
