Sysco Sr Manager - IT Asset Management in HOUSTON, Texas
Job Summary:
The ITAM Practice Senior Manager is responsible for establishing, directing, and promoting the global IT Asset Management practice at Sysco, including setting the strategic direction of the program, establishing policies and processes to govern the IT asset lifecycle, asset optimization planning, KPIs and metrics reporting, compliance auditing, and risk mitigation. The role requires thought leadership in ITAM and Service Management and is a liaison between the ITAM team and leaders from other practices, key stakeholders, and groups (both IT and business).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that appropriate resources, tools, services, and processes are in place to support the global ITAM practice.
Promotes and advocates the value of ITAM to organizational leaders. This includes developing and promoting effective ITAM strategies, policy, approaches, and practices over the full range of IT assets across the enterprise.
Ensures global alignment with ITAM best practices and identifies areas of improvement.
Provides reporting and metrics to support asset optimization, finance, audit compliance, and Cyber requirements.
Contributes to institutional values by delivering accurate accounting of technology asset lifecycle costs and risks.
Monitors and analyzes trends in spending and inventory control to make recommendations for future value improvement.
Provides IT Finance with the data to support projects involving IT assets for budgets and business cases.
Ensures that ITAM-related tools and services are properly evaluated, selected, implemented, configured, and maintained, with appropriate integration with other sources of organizational data.
Oversees the organization’s response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests, in consultation with the relevant vendor and procurement managers, software asset manager and other appointed delegates.
Directs core functions of the ITAM team, including staffing, budgeting and other relevant management functions required to hold all IT and business stakeholders accountable for optimizing the cost, risk, and benefit of IT assets throughout their life cycle.
Supervises ITAM leads, sets team direction, and oversees the CMP process

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience Required:
7+ years of general IT experience preferably within a global multi-location environment
7+ years of IT Asset Management experience, including HAM & SAM
7+ years of professional experience related to Service Management
5+ years delivering ITAM solutions
5+ years of ITIL experience
5+ years of experience with the ServiceNow Platform (HAM & SAM)
Licenses/Certification Required:
ITAM certifications preferred, such as CHAMP, CSAM, CMAM, and CITAD
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications
Knowledge and proficiency with ServiceNow
Licenses/Certification Preferred:
ITIL V4 certification is strongly preferred

In office or remote. If local to the Houston area, then the expectation is to have them come into the office at least once per month
