KBR is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to work within KBR’s Mission Technology U.S. Business Segment. This position extends beyond technical solutioning and involves a holistic approach (e.g., people, processes, tools, and technology) that will be applied across entire proposal sections (e.g., management, technical, staffing, transition). Therefore, this role is suited for a business development practitioner who possesses extensive and broad experience across numerous disciplines and phases of the acquisition lifecycle. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing and designing tailored solutions. While this is not initially a supervisory position, it is a position of leadership and influence for KBR’s solution architects and business development professionals. This is an exciting and challenging role that requires the ability to bring together different disciplines and information. It requires creativity, innovation, and collaboration with a breadth of subject matter experts from virtually all sciences and technologies from cyber and AI/ML to human performance and everything in between, to build the right solutions for our clients.
This is a full-time remote job that can be worked anywhere within the U.S.
Duties and Responsibilities:
With general autonomy, responsibilities include:
As part of the Enterprise Growth Team (EGT) Solutions Architecture practice, support significant and strategic pursuit opportunities from identification and qualification through proposal submission and award. This will include, but not limited to, developing high-level concepts, orchestrating content development across multiple proposal sections, building and validating staffing plans and rationale, and providing both formal and informal reviews throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
Lead solution-focused pursuit activities to assess client issues, gaps, needs, and requirements, and align them with KBR corporate capabilities and competitive position.
Drive the adoption, refinement, and improvement of solution-focused process, practices, and tools across all phases of the pursuit lifecycle to increase the effectiveness of pursuit team performance and capture probability.
Be a change agent across the EGT and to other KBR business units for solution-focused growth objectives as set by the Mission Technology Chief Growth Officer.
Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, both in industry and Government, that contribute to pursuit activities and objectives.
As a Senior Solutions Architect, liaise with other peers on cross-business unit opportunities, developing internal relationships with a goal to develop and propagate best practices in crafting, tailoring, and communicating technical and management solutions that differentiate KBR from competitors.
As a Senior Solution Architect supporting or on a pursuit team, evaluate opportunities by planning and conducting brainstorming sessions for customer engagements, opportunity shaping, strategic teaming, capability alignment, and content development.
Mentor and coach junior personnel, including solution architects, content developers, and other business development functions across the pursuit lifecycle on core solution-focused processes, practices, and tools.
Support General Services Administration (GSA) Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) FEDSIM Service Delivery Model (SDM), FLEX SDM, and other strategically significant pursuits.
Be a proponent for and contributor to continuous improvement initiatives within the EGT that increase the ongoing effectiveness of team performance and morale.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific discipline, plus 15 years of industry experience with 8 years of DoD-centric business development and sales experience
Possesses at least 5-years of experience orchestrating proposal technical and management content, conducting team facilitation, leading solution brainstorming sessions, and solution development and design
Possesses a background in technical discipline, such as Information Technology
Possesses prior military experience that lends itself to solution development for Department of Defense (DoD) customers
Strong project management skills in a business development environment, specifically proposal management practices for various types of proposals
Ability to translate objectives into a schedule and series of activities to meet the requirements
Strong ability to work across the entire opportunity pursuit lifecycle (from Opening Game to End Game and Post-Proposal activities)
Experience leading solution and content development for GSA AAS FEDSIM SDM pursuits
Experience leading solution and content development for strategic growth opportunities, greater than $300M
Excellent communication/presentation skills including persuasive writing skills
Superior organization and follow-through skills
Strong interpersonal skills and analytical ability
Excellent business acumen and understanding of strategic growth drivers
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and assignments
Ability to lead and work together as a team, either in a support role or as a project leader
Ability to translate customer needs and requirements into clear, concise, and compelling solutions as features, benefits, and proofs
Frequent travel may be required (approximately 25%)
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint; Microsoft Visio, Project, and Planner, and OneNote are a plus
Must be a US citizen
