Position Description
Kinder Morgan Treating is a leading manufacturer and the largest provider of contract operated natural gas treating plants in the United States. We design and build treating and processing plants to ensure that natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons conform to sales pipeline specifications and downstream markets.
Primary Purpose:
Provide technical support, leadership and oversight to all commercial, operational, regulatory and maintenance activities as assigned within the KM Treating Business Unit, including gas conditioning, dehydration, project management and construction activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Project management, including AFE creation, scope development, project construction, cost tracking
Amine treating, MRU, and TEG dehydration equipment sizing and specification
Communicate directly with internal and external customers
Material / equipment procurement
Contracting and bidding work
Contract evaluation (construction and commercial)
Basic project economic evaluation
Cost estimating and generation of AFE’s
Development of project schedules
Ability to mentor less experienced staff
Project / construction management (cost and schedule controls)

Position Requirements
Education:
B.S. Mechanical Engineering or B.S. Chemical Engineering desired, other Engineering disciplines will be considered based on work experience
Experience & Specific Knowledge:
At least 5 years of Project Management experience
Knowledge of amine treating, MRU, and dehydration design, and related industry equipment operations, maintenance codes and practices, working knowledge of field construction.
Amine and MRU modeling-simulation experience (Promax)
Working knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs and control logic
Competencies, Skills & Abilities needed to be successful in this role:
Teamwork, strong communication skills and problem solving working with individuals with varying disciplines, backgrounds and experience levels
Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, manage multiple tasks, keep required job schedule(s), focus attention on details, and follow work rules with minimal supervision
Must be able to manage the field construction team
Working Conditions:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
Will be required to make frequent trips to the field
