Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Project Management Trainee to join the South Texas Aggregates team. This position will be based in Katy, TX.

What you’ll get to do
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers.
Prepare Scopes of Work and Requests for Proposals
Prepare bid comparisons & recommendations.
Process invoices to AP and track spending.
Assist with contractor’s activities & performance on-site.
Negotiate & approve/reject contractors claims.
Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
Essential Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or relevant discipline
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to details and deadlines.
Excellent presentation skills.
Excellent time management and critical thinking.
