ALLStem Connections Manufacturing Engineer Manager in Houston, Texas

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will oversee manufacturing engineering activities within the facility to ensure that products meet quality standards, production schedules, and cost objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize production processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the manufacturing engineering team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure their success and professional growth.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians, supporting the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing principles, to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design engineering, production, and quality assurance to develop new products or processes.
  • Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe, environmentally friendly work environment.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of new equipment, automation systems, and technologies to optimize manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develop and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies and materials, improving manufacturing processes and reducing costs.
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and optimize production output.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree (BS) in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. A Masters Degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the medical device industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, equipment, and electronic device operation.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively across departments.
